Detect abnormalities using thermal imaging technology
Thermography
ThriveX™ Thermography, also known as infrared thermography or thermal imaging, is preventative screening that uses infrared cameras to detect and visualize thermal patterns on the surface of the body. These patterns reflect variations in skin temperature, which can be indicative of underlying physiological conditions or abnormalities. Here's how it works:
Prevent disease through early detection insights
Image Acquisition
During a thermography session, the patient is positioned in a temperature-controlled room to minimize external influences on skin temperature. The infrared camera is then used to capture images of the body's surface, usually focusing on specific areas of interest, such as the breasts, extremities, or spine.
Thermal Patterns
The infrared camera detects infrared radiation emitted by the body, which is converted into temperature data. Different colors or shades are assigned to different temperature ranges, creating a thermal map of the body's surface. Areas with higher temperatures appear as warmer colors (such as red or yellow), while cooler areas appear as cooler colors (such as blue or purple).
Analysis
The thermal images are captured by a trained thermographer then analyzed and interpreted by a Medical Doctor, they then provide a full medical report. They look for asymmetries or abnormalities in temperature patterns that may indicate underlying health issues. For example, in breast thermography, temperature asymmetries or hot spots may suggest the presence of inflammation, infection, or abnormal blood vessel growth (angiogenesis), which can be associated with conditions like breast cancer.
Applications
Thermography is used in various medical fields for screening. It aids in diagnosis and monitoring of conditions such as breast cancer, musculoskeletal disorders, vascular diseases, nerve damage, and inflammatory conditions. It is particularly valued for its non-invasive nature and lack of radiation exposure, making it a safe option for all patient populations.
Limitations
While ThriveX™ thermography has several advantages, proper patient preparation is key, it can influence the accuracy and reliability of thermographic results.
Overall, ThriveX™ thermography offers a non-invasive and radiation-free method for evaluating physiological function and detecting abnormalities in the body's thermal patterns.
