Menopause & Andropause

MENOPAUSE

Men-o-pause, the period in a woman’s life (typically between the ages of 45-50 years of age) when ceasing of menstruation occurs. (1) A natural decline in reproductive hormones.  Menopause is signaled by 12 months since last menstruation. (2)

The cycle is in 4 main stages, pre-menopause, peri menopause, menopause, and post-menopausal.

ANDROPAUSE
